So, after 232 years, American politics is finally getting sexy.
Sarah Palin has been nominated by the Republican party as the Vice Presidential candidate. This out-of-nowhere (”nowhere”, meaning from beside some tree in Alaska) governor, who apparently hunts moose, eats raw squirrels and swears like a (employed State) trooper is now John McCain’s running mate which is like putting Wonder Woman next to Jed Clampett. It’s not that Palin is that sexy, it’s just that there’s no precedent to a woman - still having most of her inherent womanly wiles - being this close to this kind of power.
I mean, no one ever thought about what Ronald Reagan looked like in his underwear (besides wife Nancy and, in later years, his nurse) but Palin has at least given the horribly disinterested voter something to fixate on while pretending to be intrigued by this Presidential race. Sure, Fred in Arkansas has the TV on mute, but he is at least watching..
