Soccer On Mars?
They say that soccer is the most popular game on Earth.
I guess
if it only takes
a ball,
two goals
and a lot of feet
to play
it would probably be pretty easy
to be that popular
on this planet.
That makes me wonder.
I wonder if they play soccer on Mars?
Maybe they do play the game
on Mars
but
instead of calling it soccer
they call it something like
Monsterkick
or GooberBooberBall.
And maybe the game is played by big, green monsters
who stand over twenty feet tall
and have ten arms
and sixteen legs.
Or sixteen arms
and ten legs.
I don’t know.
I’ve never seen a Martian.
And maybe they don’t actually use a soccer ball,
Maybe,
they kick around a
big
red
rock.
I guess if they kicked around a big red rock that would mean they have
really,
really
strong feet.
I think monsters
likely have
really,
really
strong feet.
Then again,
maybe they don’t use their feet at all.
Maybe they aren’t allowed to use their feet.
On Mars.
Maybe on Mars
they can only use their hands to touch the ball.
That would mean
If they touched the big red rock
with their feet,
the referee would blow the whistle.
But maybe
they don’t
have
referees on Mars.
Maybe the referees
come from another planet.
Maybe people from Mars
don’t have mouths
So they can’t blow their whistles
And they can’t be referees.
So that would mean
To have referees
For their games of soccer
on Mars
They
would have to find
Referees
From other planets,
Like Venus
Or Pluto
Or Jupiter.
I wonder if they play soccer on Jupiter?
